R I P to (but It's Nice to Remember) an 'Age of Civility' in which Political Discourse Actually Meant Something...As Opposed to Simply (Being a Matter of Folk) Banging On About an Impurely Partisan Political Agenda...one in which one simply has no intention whatsoever of listening to far less seriously considering any ideas that come out of either 'left field' or that don't strictly conform to one's predetermined mindset or ideological idiosyncrasies...
And thus and so it's rather a pity that now former and incredibly short-lived (NZ) National Party leader Todd Muller apparently failed to read, digest and/or follow through upon this punter's humble submission to him upon his (briefly) becoming party leader... For 'Why Must They Always Disagree?', though written 22-odd years ago over in (Tasmania), OZ, and now placed at (chronological) position #1 on my original Nuff Said blogsite, served me well back in Aotearoa-New Zealand's 2008 General Election... ...effectively as my mini-manifesto therein...helping me secure 222-odd well-earned votes all up...18 extra (onto my initial 204) following 'specials' (i.e. special votes)... Incidentally the little 'notelet' upon the Ten Commandments, and especially the 9th - [Don't Lie] - would have both served the then newbie leader well, and simultaneously helped avoid/offset the sort of 'shemozzle' - or 'omnishambles' as some might euphem...
