A Media With Sensitive and Active Historic Memory: Or How Come We Hear So Little About the Awful Events of the 1972 Munich Olympics Anymore (Which Of Course Took Place In the Very Land of the (Instigators of) the Holocaust)?

I scribbled this during the recent Olympics,  whilst reflecting that I hardly heard - or maybe even didn't hear, fullstop - any mention throughout of the Israeli Olympic team as such...

Or, for that matter, its immediate 'next-door neighbour', the biblically historic land of Lebanon...

Both nations, curiously enough, the two targets/sources of terror/terrorism during my own formative childhood years - during that rather fraught decade of the (19)70s, no less...

Israel (the Jewish Olympic team) of course at the Munich Olympics, and Lebanon for its capital city of Beirut being constantly bombed to smithereens throughout that decade, especially in the mid seventies-latter half thereof...
